Do you love plants as much as you do playing with mud?? You are in luck! We have a botanical tile making workshop coming up. Join us for a two session workshop (if you can only make it to one session, no big deal) to create clay tiles, press our favorite herbs and flowers in, and paint them. Bring them home as wall hangings, coasters, or whatever other wonky tile desires you may have.
Wednesday 8/19, 5 - 6 pm: Learn how to cut slabs of clay, press plants into the surface, and add other texture to your tile.
Saturday 8/22, 2:30 - 4 pm: After drying a few days, tiles will be ready to paint with underglaze. Let your creative juices flow– purple Queen Anne’s Lace? Why not! Sip some sun tea in the Pansy Garden while you paint, and stick around for Boggler’s Ball after.
$12 for two tiles and $4 per additional tile. You will be able to pick up your tiles about 3 weeks after underglazing.
